Collage Odyssey

This trilogy of collages - "Garden and Cinema", "Bowie and Frida in Punta Arenas", and "Jackson and the Natives" - offers an ethereal voyage through layered imaginaries.
Garden and Cinema: Nestled within the spiritual confines of Chiloé's churches, this piece evokes transitory moments, oscillating between the tangible and intangible, the fleeting and eternal.
Bowie and Frida in Punta Arenas: A juxtaposition of two luminous souls set against the muted backdrop of Punta Arenas. Their presence, though worlds apart, converges into a singular tapestry of emotions and reflections.
Jackson and the Natives: An abstract dance between the rhythm of global icons and the whispers of indigenous tales, this collage hints at the dialogues between dominating narratives and subdued voices.
Crafted in 2015 and drawing from historical archives and iconic publications, Mateo Martinich Beros weaves a dreamlike narrative. The trilogy invites the viewer into a liminal space, blurring the lines between the real and the imagined, the past and the present.
